My Life’s Story (Sort of)

I have put together a summary of the issues that I encountered as a programmer working on an automatic data replication system and how that experience has dramatically increased my skepticism that life could be the result of natural process alone. I am not a qualified biologist, the only technical experience I have is in information technology but I am an interested layperson. I don’t know everything the average graduate microbiologist knows about the workings of a cell but as a computer programmer, what I do know blows my mind. The DVD ‘Unlocking the mystery of life’ has animations of a strand of DNA being unwound and machine like devices that ‘transcribe’ and then ‘translate’ the code to create proteins, I have also read about complex processes involved when the cell replicates its DNA. This intro is way to brief to impress upon you how complex all of that is or explain why it blows my mind. However, what I have learned, when coupled with my experience as part of team that in solved the design issues that are encountered when data is replicated makes me extremely sceptical that any replication system (such as a living cell) could be the result of natural processes alone. The article was a little too technical and long to suit my concept for this website so I have posted it in my blogger account but I thought I put up a link to it from this website anyway.
