Dec 5th2006The article Where did genetic information come from? looks at the incredible amount of information that is stored in our DNA and asks whether the two key aspects of evolution (natural selection and genetic mutations) can explain where all that information came from.Dec 3rd2006I have recently spoken to Jacque Hall about the missionary trip to the Philippines that I wrote about in a previous article and she has filled me in on some important details and also told me about an amazing miracle that took place on a previous trip. That miracle involved the healing of a blind lady who had one eye missing altogether. Jacque saw a completely new eye where there was only an empty eye socket just moments before.The Philippines article has now been updated to include those details. I work as a Computer Programmer; my work involves the design and maintenance of information systems. Information systems don't come about by chance, they require a lot of work, so when I look at how living cells store, process and replicate information, it speaks to me of a Designer who's intelligence far exceeds my own. There is enough evidence out there to convince an open-minded sceptic that Jesus is a real person, that he died and rose again and that he is someone that we need to get to know as our Lord and Saviour.The Amazing Stories series is continuing at Paradise Community Church this Sunday at 6pm. Last week we heard about a healing for a very aggressive form of Leukaemia. A Cancer Surgeon survived a suicide attempt after his "Smith and Western" misfired twice while it was pointed at his head! The third time he pulled the trigger, his gun was pointed at a mirror and he blew it into a million pieces. Pastor Jane Evans told how she felt she should get out of the car that she was travelling in and travel with someone who had been following behind. When they caught up with the other car around the corner, it had rolled but no one was seriously hurt. However the roof above the passengers seat of a car she had just gotten out of had been crushed in so badly that if she had still been in the car at the time, she would have most likely been killed. July 6th 2006God is still in the business of doing miracles. In fact every year the church I go to puts on a series of meetings called Amazing Stories. Some of the people interviewed can show medical certificates and x-rays that confirm that they once had a terminal illness.The article God's miraculous provision shows how God has answered countless prayers by providing believers with exactly what they need at exactly the right time. This happens far too often for it to be explained by mere chance.  The Sydney Harbour Bridge at Sunset The bridge is larger than it looks in photographs. Not only are there several lanes open to cars but a train also travels across the bridge (in both directions). Sydney also has a tunnel under the harbour that supports multiple lanes of traffic. Sydney is a great place to visit and the people are friendly. I was given a warm welcome at Hillsong Church and it is a great church to visit if you are ever in Sydney. June 25th 2006The article Miracles in the Philippines looks at some of the miracles that three people I know witnessed during a trip to the Philippines. Including the healing of a blind man.
